All Tomorrow’s Pasties

Steak and Stilton Pasty, The West Cornwall Pasty Company

Bit gastropub this: big and hearty, but cheesetastic to the very outskirts of minging.

If a traditional Cornish pasty is a lovingly renovated old bicycle idling gently by on a country lane, then this is a big clunky 4×4 in a car park in Deptford.  Innit. The steak is variable. I’ve found it a bit chewy.  And no-one likes their pasties chewy.

Seems to be a big hit with tourists from the US enjoying soaking up the Cornish traditions (of London).

Recommended listening accompaniment: All Tomorrow’s Parties by The Velvet Underground and Nico (available on download from Oxfam).
